Spray foam insulation solutions for walls

We have a range of spray foam insulation solutions for new build and refurbished walling applications.

New timber frame

WALLTITE®

WALLTITE foam insulation is spray applied directly between timber studwork onto the OSB at the required thickness. Ordinarily a 25mm cavity will remain between the insulation and vapour control layers to allow for services. WALLTITE guarantees additional support and stability for the whole of the timber frame construction. The resulting continuous insulation and air barrier system will provide a cleaner, healthier more comfortable environment. WALLTITE Polyurethane spray is hypo allergenic and so contains no fibres or dust and no noxious vapours. BASF WALLTITE is very quickly installed by Foam Master contractors sing specialist  equipment.

Allow for differential movement at ALL openings, i.e. at window cill and window heads, as recommended by the timber frame manufacturer/UKTFA/TRADA: to accommodate differential movement and provide weather resistant and durable joint.

ENERTITE®

Enertite Timber frame wallBASF enertite can be applied directly onto OSB between timber studs to achieve the required U-value and airtightness level. Mechanical and electrical services can be fixed within the foam material however the use electrical conduit is recommended.

BASF enertite spray insulation can installed to fully fill the timber studwork and is shaved flush with the inner stud facing prior to the application of the VCL and plasterboard inner lining.

Enertite spray foam insulation is installed by trained and accredited Foam Master contractors. Applied as a liquid, this water blown system expands to over 100 times its original size completely filling all voids help provide an airtight barrier.

ELASTOSPRAY® LWP

Elastospray Timber Frame insulationTimber frame construction is typical in Great Britain and Ireland. As the name suggests, this method of construction relies on a timber frame as a basic means of structural support. The outer leaf is typically stone, brick, render or timber, to suit the local district or planning requirements.

Elastospray LWP is applied between the studwork of the timber frame for thermal insulation. The low thermal conductivity of the material has clear advantages here because despite low wall thicknesses, a comparatively high insulating performance is achieved. The cured spray foam guarantees additional support and stability for the whole of the timber frame construction. The “in-situ” application of the foam also guarantees air tightness of the structure, something traditional insulation methods cannot do. There must be an air gap between the external facing and the insulated timber frame for ventilation.

Cavity wall insulation

WALLTITE®

WALLTITE cavity wall foam insulation is used to reduce the heat loss of existing and new build cavity walls consisting of masonry inner and outer leaf construction. Installed as a liquid through a pattern of 12mm pre-drilled holes it expands within the cavity to gently fill each void eventually setting as a rigid polyurethane high-density insulation. WALLTITE seals the cavity thereby preventing air leakage. The increased airtightness effect adds to the systems already superior thermal performance helping to reduce energy bills and creating a more comfortable living environment. WALLTITE insulation is also used to restore the structural stability of existing cavity walls in which conventional wall ties have corroded and in new build and reform construction where its resistance to flood water is of importance. WALLTITE stabilises the wall by adhering to the inner surfaces of the cavity and providing a continuous structural connection between the two leaves. It has excellent resistance to driving rain and can be installed in all geographical exposure zones.

Internal wall insulation

ELASTOSPRAY LWP®

Elastospray Internal Wall InsulationElastospray LWP closed cell spray foam Insulation on the inside of external walls is an effective airtight insulation solution. Older buildings with listed facades or those worth preserving often have low thermal insulation which can be improved by more than 60%by internal insulation. Installation is also comparatively cost-effective because no scaffolding is required for the building and it can be applied on a room by room basis. Since the internal surface temperature of the wall is increased by approx. 2 to 4 degrees, this has a positive effect on the indoor climate.

Elastospray LP spar foam insulating material is easy to apply to the inside of the external wall using the spray foam process installed by accredited BASF contractors. After a short curing time, the insulating layer is cladded on the room side using plasterboard. Comparatively little living space is lost due to the excellent insulating performance of even a thin layer of Elastopray LWP

Refurbished wall insulation

WALLTITE® (steel stud)

WALLTITE spray foam insulation can be applied directly onto a solid dry masonry wall, between steel studwork fixed floor to ceiling. This allows for a layer of WALLTITE to remain unbridged by studwork thereby helping to reduce u-values further. The foam will engage any light steel framework to provide a more solid, secure wall when compared to other insulation methods. Ordinarily a 25mm cavity will remain between the insulation and vapour control layers to allow for services. WALLTITE guarantees additional support and stability for the whole of the wall construction. The resulting continuous insulation and air barrier system will provide a cleaner, healthier more comfortable environment for any “hard to treat” home situation.

Agricultural insulation

ELASTOSPRAY LWP®

Agricultural InsulationAgricultural buildings such as stables, barns and crop stores are exposed to major stresses. Transpiration and excretions from animals, exhaust fumes from agricultural vehicles and high levels of humidity and condensation affect the building construction, along with external weather conditions such as storms, rain, snow, hail and heat.

A potential insulation for agricultural purposes should be durable, resistant and of course cost-effective.

Elastopspray LWP spray foam caters for all possible external geometries and insulates the roof both from inside and from outside. The cured material provides effective protection from draughts and strengthens the building through the compact, jointless insulating layer.
